We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Field Service Engineer role
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 Hours
Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer
- Repair, refurbishment, installations & commissioning of machinery
- Travel across the UK and Ireland
- You will also be expected to travel to Italian HO occasionally for training and & machine testing and very occasionally deployed worldwide if required
- Overtime paid door-to-door outside of normal working hours
- Full product training will be provided
Requirements for a successful Field Service Engineer
- Qualified Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and fault find from them
- Ability to mechanically fault find and repair
- Good fault diagnosis / problem solving skills
- Basic PLC Fault Finding knowledge
- Willing to travel within UK & Ireland (Some overseas travel may be required)
- Willing to work away from home for periods up to 5 days (or more on occasions)
- Willing to work changeable hours
- Full Clean Driving License
- Ability to use MS Office
- Good Communication Skills
- Report Writing Skills
- Able to work independently or part of a team
- Fluent English spoken and written
