We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Estimator based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Construction Estimator role
Salary: £60,000
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.30am-5pm, Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Responsibilities of the Construction Estimator
- Prepare cost estimates, tender pricing and bid submissions
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Obtain and analyse quotations
- Quantity take-offs and cost analysis
- Highlight potential risks
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Support project handovers
Requirements for a successful Construction Estimator
- Previous experience in estimating within commercial/industrial construction
- Solid knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Competence in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Strong numerical ability alongside analytical and communication skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
