Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum
Location: Luton
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, flexible to cover PM shifts
The role…
As the MHE Trainer and Yard Operative, your role will involve the following important duties:
- Conduct training on various types of Material Handling Equipment for new operators.
- Provide training refreshers on Forklifts, PPTs and other MHE for existing operators.
- Maintain training records.
- General yard management.
- Organise and manage collections for recycling and waste materials.
- Manage pallets and other packaging materials within the yard.
- Work with logistics and hygiene to maintain compliance and high standards.
The experience required…
As a successful MHE Trainer and Yard Operative you will have the following:
- Certification as an MHE Trainer. RTITB or ITSSAR qualified.
- Experience working within a warehouse and yard role previously.
- Familiar with regulatory requirements related to MHE & yard management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce reports that show trends over time.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong IT skills with experience creating reports.
