We have an exciting opportunity for a Fitter/Service Support based in Castleford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Fitter/Service Support role
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 DOE
Location: Castleford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hour working week
Responsibilities of the Fitter/Service Support
- De-contamination of pump units
- Dismantling, inspection and reporting of pump unit condition
- Identification of spare parts
- Electrical inspection of pumps
- Assembly and testing of pumps
- Collecting/delivering of pumps/equipment if required
- Assisting on site jobs where required
Requirements for a successful Fitter/Service Support
- Confined space training
- Overhead Crane, Lifting & slinging Operator license
- Water Hygiene qualified
- Valid full, clean driving licence
- Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent experience/ time-served background)
- Electric motor & Control Equipment experience
- Previous experience of pumps and rotating equipment
- Knowledge and Experience of ATEX
- Strong fault‑finding abilities with the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Forklift licenses
